The Aguda Beach beyond inviting for pleasant swims, invites mostly for the contemplation of the wide sandy area extension and the ocean until where the eye can reach. The big extension of this beach borders with a lovely dunes and natural vegetation landscape. The beach facilities are quite good, with sun shades and beds for rent, bar, esplanades and toilets. Aguda is also a beach of fishermen, that during summer time, share the beach with all the visitors.
The Aguda beach is known for its artisanal fisheries based on methods passed from generation to generation.
This beach is near to Arcozelo, and is where the “Aguda Littoral Station - ELA" (http://www.fundacao-ela.pt/) is installed. The location of seaweed sampling, near to ELA, is a rocky substrate exposed to waves.
