Porto Judeu is a village located on Terceira Island’ Southern coast, Azores. This place used to have a greater movement of boats, however, for not having breakwater protection, fishermen would lead their larger boats to the port of Praia da Vitória. The parish has a port and an excellent bathing area. It is a very dry area due to the dry and brackish microclimate.
The bathing area was built in 2000. This project was born as a result of a coastal cleaning project, since it had become a garbage disposal area. Today, it has showers, a solarium, a natural pool and games area. There are several restaurants and snack bars that serve well those visiting Porto Judeu.
On the north of the parish there is a complex of caves named Algar do Carvão which represents an important geological natural reserve.
