The Harbor of Viana do Castelo is located at the town of the same name in the estuary of the Lima river, some 12 miles south of the border with NW Spain and the first port in Portugal encountered by most yachts cruising southwards down the Atlantic coast. The marina offers 163 berths for yachts of up to 20 m in depths of up to 3.0 m.
