With an extensive sandy beach in the shape of a bay, surrounded by cliffs covered in bushes, Praia da Polvoeira has a stunning beauty that the most daring can appreciate from a better perspective if they climb the huge rock formation that separates it from its neighboring Praia de Paredes da Vitória , located to the north. However, the most common access is from the forest road parallel to the coast, which ends in a very large parking area, from where on clear days you can see the contours of the coast to the south. The sea, calmer than on the surrounding beaches, allows for safe swimming and has a great biodiversity, particularly the abundance of octopuses, in the rocky bottom area, at the northern end of the beach. |
