Brown seaweed up to two feet high, fixed to the substrate by a basal conical disc, which comes equipped with a short axis with well developed cylindrical branches bearing leafy branches up to 6 cm in length and 6 mm wide, dentate wavy margin. It presents abundant spherical aerocistes shortly pedunculated with a diameter of 0.5 mm. Branched receptacles, about 1 cm long, with wide base, sometimes sterile and lacking peduncle. Monoic tali. |
