Description:
Ahnfeltiopsis devoniensis is a marine red algae commonly found in the lower intertidal zone or shallow subtidal, in areas protected from strong waves. It is known that can be found in every season.
This algae growing just few centimeters in length of a disk-like holdfast. Forming a flattened disk of medium size with dichotomous branches, which presents parallel sides. Has internal cystocarps (reproductive structures).
The species name (devoniensis) comes from the Latin, living in Devon (a shire in southwest England.
