This algae has a flat talus of a brown-green colour and of membranous consistence. It measures up to 300 mm in height and 20-30 of width. It is fixated to the ground by a small disc. It has somewhat regularly dichothomous leafs that measure from 1 to 2 inches with a prominent vein that runs through them. When out of the water it degenerates quickly and exales a strong odour.
