Description: Sargassum vulgare is a brown algae belonging to Ochrophyta phylum. Normally, this algae is found on substrate with irregular rhizoidal branches and has bush-like thalli from 150mm to 700mm; hollow and shpherical veicles, of 5mm to 8mm, and clusters of reproductive bodies are helded in place by a pedicle on the base of the fronds; these are oval, flattened, olive-green to dark brown possessing a central rib with an undulated edge.
