Description:

Dichotomous,incrassated, gelatinous, crimson filaments,to 200 mm long. Axils patent, joints swollen upwards, pear-shaped, 4-5 times as long as broad in lower parts, short and beadlike distally. Involucres sessile, those containing tetraspores whorled round the branch, those containing favelae lateral.Said to have a strong smell.
