| Description: |
This sac-like hollow golden-brown seaweed is smooth, hemispherical, irregular, and somewhat lobed. Its average diameter is 30 cm and its height is 10 cm. It has plurilocular sporangia cylindrical to club-shaped in dense clusters, scattered on surface. It has also a 4-6 cell layers, 300-500 µm thick, thallus membrane and 1-2 cells thick, 240 µm diameter thallus medullar cells. |
