Description: Padina pavonica is a brown seaweed Family Pheophycaea. It is widely distributed throughout the Atlantic. It grows abundantly in the Mediterranean and is very common in places sheltered from the coast of the Azores. This algae is abundant, from June to September, from the tidal zone to a depth of about 60m below sea level. Its name derives from the scientific aspect frond-shaped peacock's tail. They can reach 10cm in length. When exposed to extreme conditions of survival, the alga produces a layer of calcium crystals known as Aragonite. These crystals prevent its dehydration and allow it to survive for long periods. PADINACTIVE NUTRI is the extract of Padina pavonica, an asset technologically safe and effective in combating aging.
