Description: |
This species consists of narrow, single layered tubular filaments with scattered branchlets. The end of each branchlet is uniseriate and not sharp in shape. Thallus may exist in light to medium green, erect but often flaccid. Basally it’s attached or becoming loose-lying. Usually appears with irregularly branches, but often with almost simple ones from near the base. Branches sometimes may be very slender but mostly pluriseriate. Bright green tufts may occur in this specie, composed of branched axes that can reach several centimeters long. The plants attaches to rocks or other solid substrates in subtidal zones in calm places such as aquaculture ponds. |
