It´s a red algae, slender structured with articulated and repetidly dichotomized branches. Its segments are cylindrical and measure about 120 micrometers diameter, but also present longer branches of 180 micrometers diameter. It has intensive pink coloration and 50 mm length, furthermore it has calcification. It is fixed in rocks directly by small conical discs, where it can form another linked points on branches in contact with substrate, or it can grow attached to other algae.
