Description: Green algae with thalli flat and narrow with ruffled edge. The sheets of tissue is very thin (made by just one cell thick). There are many tubes or blades leaving from an atachment point at the base. This species is commonly found in tide pools or on rocks. Ulva compressa can survive to great swings in pH, temperature and salinity.
