Specimens originally identified, by R. Lami, as Bifurcaria tuberculata Stackh.. The identification was revised by it, remaining Bifurcaria tuberculata (Huds.) Stackhouse. However, the currently accepted taxonomic classification, review by Leonel Pereira, is Bifurcaria bifurcata R. Ross, according to the publication of Ross, R. (1958). The type of Bifurcaria Stackhouse Species, Journal of the Linnean Society of London, Botany, 55: 753-754. Belong to “Herbier Rob. Lami”. Espécimes identificados originalmente, por R. Lami, como Bifurcaria tuberculata Stackh.. A sua identificação foi revista, pelo mesmo, mantendo-se como Bifurcaria tuberculata (Huds.) Stackhouse. No entanto, a classificação taxonómica actualmente aceite, revista por Leonel Pereira, é Bifurcaria bifurcata R. Ross, segundo a publicação de Ross, R. (1958). The type Species of Bifurcaria Stackhouse, Journal of the Linnean Society of London, Botany, 55: 753-754. Pertencem ao “Herbier Rob. Lami”.
