Specimens identified originally, by I. Newton, as Phyllacantha fibrosa Kg.. Was later identified as Cystoseira fibrosa (Huds.) Agardh. However, the classification valid today, reviewed by Leonel Pereira, is Cystoseira baccata (Gmel.) Silva (whose synonym is Cystoseira fibrosa (Huds.) C. Agardh), according publication of Silva, P.C. University of California Publications in Botany 25: 241-323. This specimen is found in "Folder 18".
