Description:

Cystoseira brachycarpa is a marine species found in the Mediterrenean Sea and also in the North Atlantic Ocean, although in smaller quantities. Its height varies from 20 to 25 cm, it contains axes ranging from 2 to 6 and its apices are flattened and smooth. This algae is an indicator of the quality of the water, since it's only found in clean waters. In different levels of the infralittoral, it can have branches of different densities.
