Notes: Joćo Tabanez/Mikael Moura Palma Nova Bay, Mallorca, Spain. A big tourist area characterized for its large number of hotels and resorts and its large beach area. Beaches are composed of white sand which are easily accessible from a smart pedestrian walkway and the seawater is very clear.
Description:

Unicellular eukaryote, uninuclear. Thallus with slender stipe, withis-grey or grey-green, merging into a flattened, funnel-shaped cap at the top. They grow downwards and act as the root system for the organism. Divided into 20-80 radial raysLacking in the mature thallus. Grounded to something such as a rock by the rhizoids and lives in the water. plants with fully developed caps between May and August in the Mediterranean. Lacking in the mature thallus.
