Notes: Margarida Rasteiro, Ana Gonçalves; Santo António de Portmany, Ibiza, Spain: St Antoni de Portmany is located in the west coast of Ibiza, one of the Balearic Islands. It has a Mediterranean climate with its vegetation being characterized by shrubs as Juniperus. The coast line is shaped as a bay, mainly sandy however spotted with rocks in some places. This bay with its clear waters is a very touristic region.
Description:

Jania adhaerens is a reddish alga with bifurcated branches. This alga is shaped like a small dense shrub and grows attached to rocks.
