Description:
Brown algae which thallus has concave and fan-shaped clusters with irregular margin when mature. Its lower surface has bands of different colors (from light to dark brown and olive green), also it has small hairs distributed in concentric lines, few millimeters apart. The upper surface has a slime layer. This species is normally found in rock pools or on stones from middle to lower shore.
