Green algae, grows in shallow banks of coralline algae; Rudimentary rhizoidal support; Thallus calcified, erect up to 9cm tall, consists at one or two segments which may be fused with initial branching in one plane, branching may go of dichotomous to tetra dichotomous; Overlapped segments, spreaded or compacted, disc-like or triangular, moderately calcified; Internodal siphons uncalcified; The distal margin of segments are significantly thicker appearing wavy and foldede when pressed.
