Notes: José Henrique Forte Stornioli Mariana De Fátima De Piery Collecting site: Formentera, Ibiza, Spain Place description: The Formentera island is located in the Baleares archipelago, in Spain. Consists of two lows plateaus, in the west, the Barbaria plateau, in the east, the La Mola plateau. The view is magnificent, with a lot of shrubs and coniferous trees. In this island, it is possible to find some species of birds and invertebrates, most of them marine invertebrates.
Description:

Dasycladus vermicularis is a dark green alga, showing stalks with hair and wormlike form. It features a spongy consistency. This algae is found in the tropical zone of the mediterranean sea, in sandy and rocky soils, and up to 90 meters depth.
