The Cystoseira is one of the most widely distributed genera of the order Fucales. Are mostly found in temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere, such as the Atlantic, Mediterranean, Indian and Pacific.
Description:

The Cystoseira humilis has a main elongate shaft, the bottoms are flattened in 'foliar expansions "and is formed by a basal form with distinct apical regions in the presence of vesicles called air pneumatocysts catenate which are different from each other. Its fertile regions have conceptacles known as containers and are at the tips of branches. The vesicle (aerocyst air) present in this alga keeps flowing body in chains.
