Description:

The specie Cystoseira baccata is a solitary algae, greenish brown, hard, flattened. It can reach over a meter in length and its appearance is more frequent in autumn. The base is cone-shaped. The side branches are cylindrical and alternate while the main shaft is flattened. It can generally be knotted. The alga is radially symmetric and thready.
