Notes: Nelson Coito Arrifes Beach, Albufeira, Portugal Arrifes Beach it’s a rocky beach located in Albufeira, Portugal. Beeing on the south end of Portugal it’s bathed with warm clear water from the Atantic. Sorrounded by cliffs populated by pine trees on land and three large rocks on the water populated with plants resistant to the salt sprayed from the ocean.
Description:
Dictyota dichotoma, it’s Yellow-Brown coloured algae from the Phaeophyceae class with +-20cm lenght common in reefs on the northeast Atlantic. It can be found on hard or rocky grounds with good illumination and protected from the waves.
It has regular dichtomous branches with paralel sides and a bifid tips.
