Notes: Inês Mota, Márcia Teixeira Eskifjördur, Iceland Eskifjördur is a fishing town located at fjord’s northern shore in eastern Iceland. The fjord is constituted by Eskja, a volcanic mountain range at 914 meters above sea level and Hólmatindur, a mountain at 985 meters above sea level that have been a nature reserve since 1973 mainly because of its varied birdlife. There are many hiking routes in the surrounding area of this mountains with different levels of difficulty.
Description:
This marine specie is a large brown intertidal seaweed and has a frond thin with smoth margin. 
This seaweed is the smallest of the wrack group, known as the Fucus Family. Fucus ceranoides is found extensively in northest Europe distributing from Norway to the Azores Archipelago in the North Atlantic Ocean.
But this specie is most often in brackish water. Grows near estuaries or fresh water streams on the shore. 
Has very little predators who graze directly on it for food. It can have two common names : Horned wrack and Estuary wrack.
