This algae, Ulva intestinalis, was found in Porto Covo, Sines, Portugal it was attached to a rocky substrate in the medium littoral coastal placement and it was exposed. This algae was collected in 4th March of 2015.

Looking at the algae we can observe it is based on a discoid base from where tubular fronds grow. The fronds that represent most of the algae body are not branched and the tips are usually rounded. Although we can distinguish its green color, the Ulva intestinalis shows a bright colored green which is very characteristic of this specie.
