When this algae was found, it was on a exposed mid litoral rocky place, in Arrifes Beach, Albufeira, Portugal.

Looking at this algae we can easly observe it irregular shape, highly attached to the substrate and with coenocytic filaments that narrow from the base to the tip of the algae and that are extremely hard to separate. Even though this algae got a gelatinous texture it is firm to the touch and it shows some resistance to remove from the substrate. |
