Notes: Sara Pego Maria Castro Eskifjordur, Iceland: Eskifjordur is a seaside village in the middle of the eastern Fjords. it is referenced as the Fjord of the Waterfalls, because of the many waterfalls that occur in the region. Two mountains, Eskja and Holmatindur (the latter, 985 meters above sea level), dominate the fjord. The waters have several fish and shark species. Along the coast one can find spar mines, with some of the largest spar crystals ever excavated.
