Notes: Daniel Salvaterra; João Ribeiro. Cala Domingos, Cales de Mallorca, Mallorca, Spain. Calas de Mallorca is situated on the south-east coast of Mallorca Island, which is composed by Cala Domingos Grans and Cala Domingos Petits ,that are only separated by some low cliffs, and Cala Antena, that is about 1 kilometre to the north. More especially Cala Domingos Petits has fine sand and blue/turquoise water, that can get up to 26ºC, and it’s very popular among tourists.
Description:

Acetabularia acetabulum (Linnaeus) P.C. Silva is a genus of green algae of the Polyphysaceae family. In terms of anatomy it has three anatomical parts: a bottom rhizoid that attaches the algae to the rocks, a thin thallus of grey-green coloration, and a top cap with on a flat/ funnel shape. This organism may grow between 0.5 to 10 cm tall.
