Notes: Beatriz Figueiredo and Rita Eusébio --- Cala Domingos, Cales de Mallorca, Mallorca, Spain ----- Cala Domingos is situated south of Porto Cristo, east of Spain. Cala Domingos consists of two small coves, surrounded by forest. The seaweed was photographed in the area Domingos Petit, cove of crystalline waters, next to the shoreline.
Description:

Jania adhaerens is a small multicellular red seaweed species, pale pink and branched with a calcareous skeleton, shaped like a small dense shrub. It grows attached to rocks and is found in sheltered reefs along the shoreline.
