Description: |
This brown alga is caespitose, reaching up to 30 cm in height, and attaches to the substrate with a wide and irregular basal disc. The axes grow up to 10 cm high and have a circular cross-section up to 5 mm in diameter, typically spinose with small scars from dehisced primary branches. The apices of the axes are not very prominent and have small spines. |
