Description: Mesophyllum expansum, a calcareous encrusting organism, can grow up to 30 cm in diameter. Under artificial light, these creatures exhibit a striking pink hue and display gracefully hanging branches. They are occasionally found near the surface but can thrive at depths of up to 70 m
