Thallus tufted, grey-purple to greenish-white or pink, repeated dense branching at almost the same lenght, branches terete, tapering towards the top; terminal branches usually spreading as wide-angled bifurcations, moderately calcified, texture flexible-firm (Braune & Guiry, 2011).
