Taxonomic notes Schneider & Searles (1991: 470) consdier that this entity is possibly synonymous with Polysiphonia sertularioides from the Mediterranean, but they remained “unconvinced”. They use the name in the sense of Boergesen (1918: 266, figs 259-261) and remark that a world-wide study of this and similar entities is needed. |
