Thallus a thick crust from which develop warty protuberances. Hypothallus poorly to moderately developed; cells rectangular 12-16µ by 30-45µ. Perithallus thick, showing some growth zones; cells square to oblong in section, measuring 12-22µ by 8-10µ. Conceptacles abundant, small; cavities measure 161-235µ in diameter and 60-78µ high (Hartman 1954). |
