Specimen originally identified as Pycnophycus tuberculatus Kg. Your identification has been reviewed by J. E. de Mesquita Rodrigues, in August 1958, in Coimbra, for Bifurcaria rotunda (Huds.) Papenfuss and in September 1961, to Bifurcaria bifurcata (Velley) R. Ross, according to the publication of Ross, R. (1958). The type Species of Bifurcaria Stackhouse, Journal of the Linnean Society of London, Botany, 55: 753-754. Specimen belonging to "Herbário Affonso Dias Moreira Padrão".
Espécime identificado originalmente como Pycnophycus tuberculatus Kg.. A sua identificação foi revista por J.E. de Mesquita Rodrigues, em Agosto de 1958, em Coimbra, para Bifurcaria rotunda (Huds.) Papenfuss e, em Setembro de 1961, para Bifurcaria bifurcata (Velley) R. Ross, segundo a publicação de Ross, R. (1958).
