Dictyota dichotoma is a brown multicellular algae (Class Phaeophyceae) with thin and translucent golden-brown thallus flat fronds, and ± regularly dichotomously forked, but lacking a midrib. Their reproductive structures are scattered over the fronds. Very variable, with spirally narrow twisted plants, but normally they are less twisted and more regularly branched plants. Often growing epiphytically. |
