Notes: Roberto Mendes, Sandra Simões. Local de colheita: Aguda, Portugal. The Aguda beach is located in Gaia, Portugal. It has a wide sandy extension, which is rich in dunes and natural vegetation. It is a beach with strong waves and it has many species that inhabit its rocky seabed.
Description:

Chondrus crispus is a marine seaweed specie. Its color is dark purplish-red with a even darker stipe, which is compressed in its base. The top of the seaweed is branched with ends rounded.
