Description:

Undaria pinnatifida is a brown macroalgae (kelp) that is slightly translucent and can reach up to 3 m in length. This species has branched, slender attachment structures called rhizoids, from which a stipe develops. The stipe extends into a typically flattened, wide, lanceolate blade, with its margins torn at the top.
