Description: Undaria pinnatifid a is a brown macro algae, of the order Laminariales, and therefore a kelp. They are identified by their long thallus, which are flat, translucent and similar to leaves in shape. Supporting this structure is the stipe, similar to the central vein in a leaf, and the rhizoids, which hold the algae to firm surfaces.
