The species Undaria pinnatifida is a brown macroalgae, classified as class Phaeophyceae and order Laminariales. It´s native from Japan, Korea and China and has a big economic importance since it´s used a lot in asian cuisine, considering that it´s an edible algae. This species can reach 1 to 3 meters high when adult and is considered to be an invasive species, becoming established in temperate regions around the world. |
