Description: Gracilaria Multipartita, belonging to Rhodophyta phylum, is a reddish-brown or dark brown algae with a cartilaginous and fleshy texture and a robust appearance. This species grows up to 25 centimeters long, the thallus structure is flattened and the branches are irregular with lobed segments. The branch tips are rounded with curved edge. This specie has large cells and a well-defined multicellular structure and has a base that connects firmly to the substrate. It is found in tropical and subtropical regions including the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico.
