Description:

Undaria pinnatifida is a brown marine macroalgae, its common name being "wakame". Its general structure is branched, long and narrow.

In fact, it has a thin, jagged blade, where its margins are rounded, resembling a feather. In addition, the blade is flat and very flexible. This algae has a round and well-defined strain. Regarding rhizoids, they have hyphae that allow the algae to attach to the rocky substrate.

Undaria pinnatifida is an algae widely used in cooking, especially in Japan.

In conclusion, this algae is considered an invasive species in some regions of the world, making it an ecological concern.
