Gracilaria Multipartita is a red alga in the Rhodophyta division. Its color is a red that resembles brown, it has fronds assimiliar, gradually ramified into several thin ends, with a maximum thicknessof 1 mm, and up to 30 cm of length. This alga is found in marine environments, in rocky substrates such as rocks and sand, being extremely used for commercial purposes. As for its life cycle, it has a gametophytic phase and sporophytic phase with alternation of generations as is usual in rhodophytes. |
