Description: is a red algae distinguished by its rich and intense coloration, which usually ranges from deep red to dark purplish tones. In certain areas, it may also display subtle brown reflections that add variation to its appearance. Its structure is formed by flattened and highly branched fronds with an irregular, lobed shape. The branches are broad and often resemble wavy ribbons, creating an elegant and layered form. In texture, the algae is fleshy and firm while still remaining flexible. When moist, it develops a slightly gelatinous feel, giving it a smooth yet resilient consistency. Scientifically, it belongs to the genus Chondracanthus, characteristics reflected in its vivid pigmentation and robust, fleshy structure.
