Description:

is a marine green algae distinguished by its vivid and striking appearance. Its coloration usually ranges from bright green to an intense dark green, giving it a fresh and vibrant look. When exposed to air for extended periods, the edges may gradually turn yellowish or pale white, creating subtle variations in tone. The algae has a thin and flattened structure that resembles delicate, wrinkled lettuce leaves. Its blades are often broad and irregular, with softly undulating margins that give it a naturally flowing shape. In texture, it is smooth, flexible, and slightly slippery when moist, allowing it to move gently with water currents. Once dry, however, it loses this softness and becomes firmer, more rigid, and fragile to the touch.
